
Darrell’s background has mostly been in turkey farming and working with cattle and horses, as well as with almost every kind of heavy equipment. He presently works as an arborist. Darrell was stationed in Germany while he served in the army. He is the father of two sons and is a deacon in his church.
He actually got his start in music at the Mesquite Opry in Texas. He has sung and preached in several states at many church and community events. Darrell was featured on his first country gospel CD, "Just Any Day." He recently co-wrote several songs for his second CD, "Down To The River" recently released. Darrell plans to continue writing more country gospel songs.
Darrell has enjoyed teaching Sunday school to children ages 9- 12 as well as serving as a Royal Ranger leader for boys ages 7-13. You can hear a few of Darrell’s puppet voices on several of Nemra’s children’s albums.
